A CONCERT OF INSTRUMENTAL AND CHORAL MUSIC BY TIM STEVENSON with the Brodsky Quartet, Stephen Bell horn and Christopher O'Neal oboe.
Tim Stevenson tragically died at the age of 32. Cited by Sir David Willcocks as "one of the most gifted young musicians of his generation" this concert is a celebration of his chamber music. The varied programme of instrumental and choral works includes two world premiers, Heron and Suite for Solo Violin, featuring the Brodsky Quartet and their leader, Andrew Haveron. The Suite for Violin was written for Andrew Haveron whilst a pupil at the Purcell School where Tim Stevenson was Head of Composition. Stephen Dodgson (composer) writes that the concert "will be an opportunity for many of us to become acquainted with a telling range of Tim's talent and achievement."
